For the series of 12 project I chose to do water drops because they're pretty cool. I used rubber cement to make the drops and painted over them with color so that when i removed the rubber cement it would be white underneath and I could paint in the drop. I enjoyed this project because it gave me a chance to work with water color.

My name is Rachael Varin and I am a 17 year old artist from Tucson. I am a senior at Tanque Verde High School. I recently got accepted into the University of Arizona's School of Architecture and plan on attending their next year. Though I have no plans of changing my major and intend on perusing architecture, I've heard many people change their major along the way and would not be surprised if I did so as well.

Many things inspire me to create the art that I do. Music is always a heavy inspiration on my work. I tend to draw singers who inspire me. Bob Ross is a major inspiration for my paintings and helps me strive to always create better paintings. Some of my favorite realism artists are Heather Roony, Samuel Silva, Azany, and Kansinee de Graef. I'm always excited to create new art so that I can share it with the world and try to inspire others.
